Collaborative

Intro- This was an assignment we did in class where we chose a topic for other students in class to write short poems for. I chose beards and the poems turned out very well and I even added a couple. I like the different styles each student had and this was truly a collaborative effort.
Beards
So many types
But finding the right one
Is the real search

The beard expresses
What the mind cannot

As the cold winter blows
The beard keeps it warm
Feeling the protection

Countless strands of hair
Come together
That add up to
The great big beard

Having patience
Taking time to grow
What can be a new look
For you

Someone hides under a beard
Friend or Foe?
You will never know
Until its too late...

The priest has a beard
To resemble his savior

Beards tell a story
They give personality
That impacts the voice

Beards come in
All shapes and sizes
Goat-tees to Rick Ross

Zeus, Santa, Poseidon and more
What would a Great myth be
Without a ridiculous beard

Even by the hairs of his
Chinny chin chin
The wolf’s beard was not a match
For mine was better

One beard to rule them all
One beard to fear
One beard to bring them all
Very dark is Brian Wilson’s

  1. I loved this activity when we did it, and yours turned out really well. I love the first and tenth stanzas.
