Intro- This was an assignment I did in my creative writing class where we were tasked with giving thoughts to an object that normally cant think. I wrote about the relationship people have with there phones and what they think when you use them. I thought it was funny.
You love me when you get me
You give me protection and clothes
And in return i do things for you
I sing
I tell the weather
I use my brain and calculate things
I gossip with your friends
We play games together
And we talk for hours on end
When you first met me
You instantly fell in love
Always touching me
Holding me
Obsessing about me
But as the months turned into years
Your love waned
You still used me
But you constantly complained about me
Until about exactly two years
You cheated on me with someone
Who was "bigger,faster, and more beautiful"
I thought what we had was special!

i really liked they way you gave your phone a voice. It made me think the phone as a person really nice work!
ReplyDeleteHuh! Gggggggggggreat work here! This poem was an emotional roller coaster for me, my heart bubbled with happiness and it cried in despair. It's so sad that he cheated on the first iphone with someone who was bigger. This poem showed skill, we need that in the industry these days, you're going places kid.
